Healthcare

Permian manufactures precision plastic products for diagnostic, drug delivery and general medical applications. Permian has been a major plastics biotechnology molder for virtually all of the company’s years. Our strong knowledge of polymer technology in this constantly emerging field allows us to plan an active partnership in the selection and utilization of cost efficient answers for old and new medical demands. In 2004 our facility was registered with the FDA.

Biotechnology

Plasticware in the Biotech field must adapt to the individual needs of the customer and provide the precision of high volume robotic production flow. In addition, this rapidly evolving field requires a supplier with the flexibility to support design evolutions at the same fast pace. Permian Plastics has been the design and build collaborator on several generations of Genomic plasticware. Permian has extensive understanding of the industry standards and requirements. We support customer needs for sterilized and unsterilized components and packaged assemblies with specialized equipment and facility design.

Electronics and Telecommunications

Permian’s depth and experience in polymer technology allows our staff to collaborate in identifying the optimum match for plastic properties with the stringent requirements of the Electronics and Telecommunications industry. We maintain a full certification with Underwriter’s Laboratory, giving our customers a head start in the design, engineering and launch of their products. Our services include mold building, precision injection molding (including decorating and contract manufacturing services for electronic components), peripherals, telecommunications and consumer electronics. The focus is on precision and speed-to-market.

Consumer & Industrial

Permian Plastics molds consumer and industrial components for a broad variety of the world’s largest consumer and industrial product companies in such fields as: personal care, household products, lawn & garden, sporting goods, closures, construction and other assemblies. We understand and adapt to the need for peak seasonal production where a tight timeline is critical to successfully hitting the market need. “Right the first time” is a normal mode of business. We recognize on time delivery means the difference between a season’s success or failure.

Optical Systems

Optical Products require not only the cleanliness and attention to detail of Medical applications but an in-depth understanding of how the plastic base must be selected and handled. Permian Plastics has experience in parabolic reflectors, lenses and site windows for robotic assembly. Our injection presses offer the sophistication to achieve and control tight and critical parameters for consistent part-to-part quality. The controlled environment of our facility avoids post-molding contamination. In addition to our molding capability, Permian has extensive experience in coordinating the application of vacuum metalized, chrome plated and vacuum deposition surfaces.
